U2, Aerosmith, Living Colour & Ryan Adams Pay Tribute To Chris Cornell


Live tributes to late Soundgarden, etc. frontman Chris Cornell continue to pour in from acts of all different walks of life. U2 recently dedicated their track “Running To Stand Still” to Cornell and his widow Vicky, also playing “Black Hole Sun” in the venue just before taking to the stage during their set last night, May 20th, at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA.

Living Colour also paid tribute, covering Soundgarden‘s “Blow Up The Outside World” during their set at the Astor Theatre in Perth, AUS on May 19th. Aerosmith dedicated a segment/song (“Dream On“) to Cornell during their May 20th set at the Black Sea Arena in Batumi, Georgia.

Ryan Adams also paid tribute with a cover of “Black Hole Sun” during last night’s (May 20th) set in Auckland, New Zealand. Footage of all the aforementioned tributes can be found below.

Cornell tragically took his own life earlier this week and is expected to be laid to rest this coming Friday. his family suspect an improper dosage of his anxiety medication played a part in his actions.
