Police Report On Chris Cornell’s Death Shares New Details On His Passing

0 have obtained a copy of the police report on the death of Soundgarden, etc. frontman Chris Cornell. Cornell was found dead in his hotel room at the MGM Grand Detroit in Detroit, MI during the early hours of yesterday, May 18th. As the police report details, Cornell had used a red exercise band to hang himself and was found slumped on the bathroom floor. His death was since ruled as a “suicide by hanging.” He was pronounced dead on scene at 1:30am on May 18th local time.

The report also goes on to reveal that CPR was unsuccessfully performed on Cornell and that he was given two Ativan pills for his anxiety prior to his death by his bodyguard Martin Kirsten. It was Kirsten¬†who also later discovered Cornell‘s body upon breaking down two latched doors to gain proper entry into the suite. Kirsten had been present in Cornell‘s suite an hour or so prior, helping him with his computer.
