Khemmis and Spirit Adrift will be teaming up for a new split 7″ due out June 16th on War Crime Recordings. Titled “Fraught With Peril“, it will find both acts paying tribute to Southern U.S. folk music. Khemmis contribute their take on the traditional American folk song “A Conversation With Death“, while Spirit Adrift put their stamp on “Man Of Constant Sorrow“—which found new fame in the early 2000’s in the film, ‘O Brother, Where Are Thou?‘. Pre-orders for the split are available now via this location. The above cover by Khemmis is only one of two new tracks they recorded this February with their plans for the other still under wraps.
