Queens Of The Stone Age vocalist/guitarist Josh Homme has confirmed to news.com.au that the band’s forthcoming new album will not feature any guest appearances. In addition to that, he stated that a new single will arrive in advance of the band’s upcoming July Australian tour. As for the recent image shared by Homme of his hand post-surgery, he revealed it was for tendon surgery, offering:
“We have been hitting it hard when it comes to my body and it’s always ‘We will deal with you later’ I had surgery on my wrist once before and four days later, I was on tour in Australia. My doctor called me a dipshit. I had a problem with my tendon, it was very difficult for me to flip the bird for a while.”
Last week the band shared this cryptic tease, presumably for either a new single or their next album.
