Late Actor Bill Paxton Once Stage Dived At A Body Count Show

Late actor/director Bill Paxton once stage dived at a Body Count, according to the band’s frontman Ice-T. The pair co-starred in the 1992 film, ‘Trespass‘, striking up a friendship that apparently led to Paxton taking in a Body Count show. Metal Injection asked Ice-T about Paxton‘s passing, to which he replied:

“Listen, Bill Paxton came to a Body Count show in Santa Barbara, California and stage dived. I’m at the show, and I’m ready to go and they’re like ‘There’s some big white boy out in the back, says he knows you Ice.’ And I’m like ‘Who? Who is he?’ He’s like ‘Bill.’ I’m like ‘I don’t know nobody named Bill.’

And then my other boy says ‘he looked like the motherfucker from ‘Weird Science‘. [laughs]”

So I’m like ‘That’s Bill Paxton! Let him in, he’s a movie star, you kidding me?!.’ So he came in, and he stood on the side of the stage during our set, and I guess the Holy Ghost got in him. I don’t know what makes people stage dive. Next thing I know, I see Bill going over the top, going over the pit, and you know he landed safe.”

As Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir stated in his tribute to Paxton, both he and Paxton would take in punk shows in their earlier days, suggesting it may have not been the first time Paxton took flight at a show. Paxton, who appeared in movies such as ‘Titanic‘, ‘Aliens‘, ‘Weird Science‘, ‘Twister‘ and more, passed away this past February following complications from heart surgery.
