Recent Victory Records signing We Ride are streaming “What You Are” from their new album, “Empowering Life“. Deez Nuts frontman JJ Peters lends guest vocals to the track. “Empowering Life” will receive an April 14th release. The band’s frontwoman Mimi Telmo said of this track:
“‘What You Are‘ is about the fine line split between friendship and indifference. No matter how hard you try to salvage a relationship, sometimes you just have to walk away.”
She added:
“I’ve always been a Deez Nuts fan, and when meeting JJ in person, I saw that he is not only a great frontman, but also a lovely person. Over the years we became good friends and we always have a great time when we share a stage together. While writing this song, I felt it was perfect for JJ and I love how it turned out!”
