First Week Sales For Suicide Silence’s Self-Titled Album Down 69% From Previous Album

Suicide Silence took some big chances with their new self-titled album, widely stepping away from their traditional deathcore sound and also implementing clean singing freely throughout the effort. It’s a move that saw a divide form within the band’s core audience, with dislikes wifely outweighing the likes on the official YouTube video uploads of the singles the band shared in advance.

The first week sales are now in for the self-titled effort and it appears that the fans may have spoken with their money. The effort sold 4,650 copies during its first week of availability in the U.S., down 69% from the 15,000 copies sold during the first week of its 2014 predecessor, “You Can’t Stop Me“. Foreign markets have also displayed a similar dip in sales.
