Code Orange have now released a new statement on the fan who suffered an injury at their recent Salt Lake City, UT show. In addition, a Gofundme for her medical bills has been launched here. Code Orange‘s new statement reads as follows:
“Please help support our friend Emily. We have all kinds of different people at these shows, and we have to all take care of each other-always. We’ve played hardcore shows all around the world and this is the first and only time an injury of this nature has taken place, and hopefully the last. We’ve been in contact with her and those around her since the beginning and she knows she’s got our support through this healing process. Our fans are very important to us, and as we continue to grow we all need to protect, support and help each other up.

Emily Jane Hoffman was left with considerable injury after attending Code Orange‘s January 21st show at Kilby Court in Salt Lake City, UT. Whether accidental or intentional, Hoffman was apparently spin kicked in the face by a fellow concertgoer who was allegedly wearing steel toe boots at the time. The kick left Hoffman with a shattered jaw and brain bleeding. According to Hoffman, the man responsible ran off and has not been identified. She shared her story below:
Code Orange themselves have said they have been in contact with Hoffman and “want to support” her.
