Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has shared a new piece of music he worked on for the Birmingham Cathedral titled “How Good It Is“. The music was composed by Iommi while the Very Reverend Catherine Ogle, Dean of Birmingham came up with the lyrics. The Birmingham Cathedral Choir performed the lyrics. Iommi commented:
“It’s great to be involved with the Cathedral and doing something for it. When Catherine mentioned it, it felt like a nice thing to do, to be able to give something to the city.”
Black Sabbath of course originally came to be back in the late 60’s in Birmingham, England, where the cathedral is located. For more on the track and how it came together, head to Birminghamcathedral.com.
