Though percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan has been talking up his plans to begin writing material for Slipknot‘s next album in February with guitarist Jim Root, that doesn’t mean a new album from the band will emerge anytime soon. Frontman Corey Taylor, who will begin a new album cycle with Stone Sour next year, doesn’t expect Slipknot to officially hit the studio en masse for two years. He tweeted the following to a fan earlier today:
Not really. That just means they’re gonna start writing music. We won’t go in the studio for 2 years. https://t.co/ZroBdsC8kY
