You can hear a 40-piece orchestra take on Tool‘s “Schism” in the below video from the collective now known as Metamorphestra. They are currently crowdfunding their new album, “The Ship Of Theseus“, through Kickstarter.com. Should they meet their goal, they also plan to record orchestral renditions of:
System Of A Down – “Toxicity”
Weezer – “Say It Ain’t So
Muse – “Stockholm Syndrome”
Lady Gaga – “Perfect Illusion”
Florence + The Machine – “Shake It Out”
Orchestral renditions of unspecified songs from the Deftones, Radiohead, The Mars Volta and more are also planned. The cover of Tool is taken from the collective’s previously crowdfunded release, “Tantamount“, which featured renditions of material from Rage Against The Machine , Muse, My Chemical Romance and more.
