Disturbed & Slipknot Rack Up More Gold Records

Disturbed‘s latest album, “Immortalized“, has officially been certified gold by the RIAA for sales in excess of 500,000 copies in the U.S. The album’s certification has of course benefited from this year’s changes that factor in streaming (1,500 plays on various accredited streaming music services equates to one album sold.) Earlier this year the Disturbed‘s cover of “The Sound Of Silence” from the album went platinum, “Immortalized” also already hit gold status in Canada as well.

Meanwhile, Slipknot received some more good news with their single “The Devil In I” now officially being certified gold, following the recent news of their latest album, “.5: The Gray Chapter“, .
