During the throes of his past meth addiction around a decade or more ago, Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch would take great risks to ensure he would get his fix while touring the world. As part of an episode of ‘Wikipedia: Fact Or Fiction’ over at Loudwire, Welch revealed how he would hide the drug while traveling through airports:
“Meth will make you do some crazy things. But, I would scoop out the white deodorant part and put meth in a baggy. It’s cool that I can laugh about it now. I’d put it in the white stuff and then I would pack the white stuff back on it and then put the deodorant stick back together.
Because I was thinking, you know how many airports I’ve been in and those officers walking around with the dogs. And I’m thinking they’ll smell the deodorant, they won’t smell the meth in the baggy if it’s mixed in with the deodorant. And it worked.”
Korn‘s new album “The Serenity Of Suffering” will be released on October 21st.
