The Dillinger Escape Plan‘s new track “Symptom Of Terminal Illness” has debuted below via Revolver. It’s the second track to surface from the band’s farewell album, “Dissociation“, out October 14th. Guitarist Ben Weinman also discusses his band’s decision to call it quits and more in an interview as well, revealing how tired he became with the cycle of writing albums and touring behind them. He did shy away from saying the band’s exit will be final however:
“The reason why we say why you never know if we’ll come back or whatever is you never know. Like Guns N’ Roses came back you know what I mean? But as far as I’m concerned this is it. As far as I am concerned, I don’t have any plans to be playing play in this band at all, ever again. At some point we might—who the fuck knows. it’d be stupid to say it’ll never happen cause every band says that and it’s bullshit.”

The group plan to disband upon completion of their touring cycle behind the new album sometime next year. Immediate dates include this U.S. run with O’Brother and Cult Leader and also this European/UK tour. You can hear the song below by skipping ahead to 01:56 in.
