Yesterday (August 31st) System Of A Down bassist Shavo Odadjian posted this picture of himself in a rehearsal room with band drummer John Dolmayan, complete with some System Of A Down related hashtags. Well, drummer John Dolmayan has since posted the below image from those same sessions, which reveals that System Of A Down vocalist/guitarist Daron Malakian was also involved.
Like Odadjian‘s post, it also featured the caption: “1..2..3..4.. #systemofadown #letdothis”. This leaves frontman Serj Tankian—who has long been rumored to be the holdout on a new album from the band—the only one to apparently be absent from the sessions. With no current live shows announced, speculation is running high as to what the band have reconvened for, with many hoping it’s for a follow-up to their 2005 double-album, “Mezmerize“‘/”Hypnotize“.
