The Prophets Of Rage played a series of shows across Cleveland, OH today in protest of the ongoing RNC (Republican National Convention) that is being held in the city. Though one of their performances was a somewhat traditional band set, as you can see in the below clip, the other was very impromptu, with the group’s vocalists, Chuck D (of Public Enemy) and B-Real (of Cypress Hill) performing to their own music from a boombox.
The collective consist of members of Rage Against The Machine, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill. Earlier today they debuted their first studio recording in the form of an updated take on Public Enemy‘s “Prophets Of Rage“. You can hear that here.
