The Ghost Inside Drummer Andrew Tkaczyk Shares More About His Continued Recovery

Though more a promotional tool for a prosthesis The Ghost Inside drummer Andrew Tkaczyk is now utilizing, a piece posted over at sheds some insight on his continued recovery from the band’s November 2015 bus crash. Tkaczyk suffered 51 injuries in the crash, among them the loss of his right leg, a dislocated shoulder causing nerve damage, plus spinal, rib and hip fractures and more. While touching upon the crash itself and his return to mobility and independence, it also features the following rather encouraging quote from Tkaczyk:

“It was hard, because when I had first woken up I didn’t know who was OK or who was hurt or even alive or not, and it was difficult. But having such a wonderful team at Mary Free Bed and state of the art prosthetics has given me the opportunity to go on tour again. The bandmates and I have big plans. We are scattered throughout the country recovering, but we keep in touch daily online through whatsapp and encourage each other. We are planning on being ready to return to the stage for the ‘Vans Warped Tour‘ in 2017.”
