Forbes have compiled their 2016 Celebrity 100 list, which ranks the top grossing performers over the course of the past twelve months. Musicians factor in heavily on the list, with Taylor Swift claiming the top spot with an estimated $170 million thanks to music, touring and various endorsements.
AC/DC take home the 17th spot with an estimated $67.5 million thanks to their lucrative touring, where shows have regularly grossed over 1.5 million dollars a date. The Rolling Stones came in at #18 with 66.5 million earned from playing 27 shows. U2 rank at #30 with an estimated $55 million. Muse landed at #44 with $49 million, just squeaking past the Foo Fighters, whose touring brought them in $48.5 million—enough to net them #45 on the list.
