Three South Wales Police officers are facing disciplinary action for failures to act accordingly in regards to the child sex abuse case of former Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins, who is serving 35 years in prison for various child sex related crimes. According to the BBC, the Independent Police Complaints Commission has found that one detective sergeant and two detective constables essentially failed to act expediently and properly in the matter when they were first presented with allegations against Watkins.
You may recall that an ex of Watkins, Joanne “Joanna Majic” Mjadzelics, claimed to have warned the police repeatedly years in advance of his arrest and eventual imprisonment. Mjadzelics was later cleared of possessing child porn herself, having successfully proven that the images, etc. in her possession were kept in a bit to prove Watkins‘ guilt.
