Soulfly guitarist Marc Rizzo has joined Dead By Wednesday, having previously appeared on their track “The Surgeon” from their guest-filled latest album. Rizzo will be writing, recording and touring with the band in the future when his schedule with Soulfly permits him to. He commented:
“I am excited to announce that I will be joining one of my new favorite bands Dead by Wednesday! When I have time off from Soulfly, I will be playing shows and recording a new record with DBW!!! DBW newest record is one of the best records of this year and I’m stoked to play live with these guys soon!!! LET’S shred!!”
Currently, Rizzo has been learning Sepultura‘s 1996 album “Roots” for upcoming full-album live performances to be played by the band’s former sibling duo of Max and Igor Cavalera. Those shows will be mounted throughout the year as part of a series of 20th anniversary touring billed as ‘Max & Igor Cavalera Back To Roots‘:
