A Day To Remember‘s “Homesick” and “What Separates Me From You” were both certified gold in the U.S. by the RIAA this past March. The plaques have now been made up and you can see what they look like below. Though originally gold records were awarded for 500,000 sales in the U.S., revisions made earlier this year now factor in streaming, resulting in a number of artists being bestowed with shiny new plaques. Given that prior to the revisions you could almost count the number of artists to receive gold and platinum awards on one hand, it seemed like a necessary measure.
It’s probably a rare moment that both A Day To Remember and their former label Victory Records can celebrate together, given their legal dispute—the outcome of which (if there is one yet) remains publicly unknown. A Day To Remember‘s new album “Bad Vibrations” will arrive in stores on August 19th through ADTR Records/Epitaph.
