Given that he’s recovering from spinal surgery after breaking his neck some years back and not realizing it, Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has had a bit more time on his hands than usual. Today (June 10th) he took part in Twitter fan Q&A, answering a few notable questions. For one, he was asked how he felt about Slipknot being described as ‘nü-metal’:
Honestly? I've never thought it fit us. We used whatever music we wanted to make metal, so to me we were NWOAHM. https://t.co/QCeqMnWHBJ

He also provided an updated timeline for the next Stone Sour album as well:
Start recording Jan. 2 month session. A month to mix. Fingers crossed, out Summer '17. Just in time for Fest Season. https://t.co/LffwjmH97j
