Lamb Of God were presented with the gold plaques for their 2004 release “Ashes Of The Wake” at The Paramount in Huntington, NY last night (May 17th). The album was certified gold in the U.S. on February 18th, 2016, benefiting from revised sales classifications recently instituted by the RIAA. A gold record in the United States signifies 500,000 copies sold. Band drummer Chris Adler commented just before receiving the award:
“Loading in at the famous The Paramount today, big show tonight and I am humbled to be a part of the ceremony this evening to present each of us with plaques celebrating “Ashes of the Wake” reaching sales equating to gold in the U.S. We have been so very lucky to have several gold records from across the world, but this is our first in our home country (and possibly the most difficult place in the world these days). Quite an honor and all thanks go to you!”
Two of Lamb Of God‘s previous video releases, “Killadelphia” and “Walk With Me In Hell” have also previously been certified platinum by the RIAA. You can find the band out on the road right now as part of this tour with Clutch and Corrosion Of Conformity.
