U.S. president Barack Obama dropped a heavy metal joke while delivering a speech at the Nordic Summit, which finds him welcoming leaders from five Nordic nations for a one day summit at the White House. There’s also some ‘Minecraft‘, Spotify ‘Angry Birds‘ and ‘Candy Crush‘ mentions in there in his speech too. Referencing Finland’s obsession with heavy metal culture in the below video, he offered:
“I do wanna point out that Finland has perhaps the most heavy metal bands in the world per capita and also ranks high on good governance. I don’t know if there’s any correlation there.”
This is of course not the first time President Obama has made note of heavy metal, with a previous mention of Korn having taken place last year.
