Deftones' Chino Moreno Really Likes To Go 'Wild'

When it comes to the lyric police, it’s often artists like Soulfly‘s Max Cavalera who take the brunt of it. Eight albums and numerous side projects into his career, Deftones frontman Chino Moreno has officially earned an infraction—or at least as official as these trivial concerns can be. A Reddit user named d4rock has pointed out that Moreno appears to be a big fan of the word ‘wild’, having used it in similar phrases on five of the band’s songs, including “Rubicon” on their latest release, “Gore“. d4rock points out the following examples of Chino‘s transgressions:

Beauty School” : “Just drives me wild”
Poltergeist” : “Just to drive me wild”
Royal” : “Go wild”
Hexagram” : “And the crowd goes wild!”
Rubicon” : “The crowd goes wild”

And here I thought they’d be going after him for his exuberant usage of ‘Wooo!’ over the years first.
