Bring Me The Horizon’s “Sempiternal” Goes Gold, Though The RIAA Botched Their Name


Bring Me The Horizon‘s 2013 release “Sempiternal” has gone gold in the U.S. for 500,000 albums ‘sold’ in the territory. The album is the latest to benefit from the revised standards for the classification by the RIAA (The Recording Industry Association of America). As of this past February, streaming is now being factored into the sales, with 1,500 plays on various accredited streaming music services equating to one album sold. As a bit of a facepalm moment though, the RIAA currently have the band listed as ‘Beyond The Horizon‘—let’s hope that blunder doesn’t make it onto the plaques:
