Devin Townsend is set to begin recording the band’s new album this weekend and has roped in Nolly Getgood of Periphery to help out with the sessions. It remains unclear if Getgood will be playing on the record or helping out with the production side. Earlier this month Townsend commented of the album’s theme:
“I think the new album will ultimately be about fighting to not let the chaos of our times get you down. To get over ourselves and our fear. I still believe in something peaceful, beautiful and elegant. It just takes huge effort in these day and age to not let the chaos take over….and food. Probably food too.”
Gear at the studio, Nolly in town, starting tomorrow. I think it’s good music, good intention, and good people. Goodnite. 🙂
