If you’ve kept up with the news, you know that Every Time I Die recently began recording their new album in their hometown of Buffalo, NY with producer Will Putney (Thy Art Is Murder, Vision Of Disorder). Band frontman Keith Buckley has now issued the following statement on what to expected from it.
“You would think that by now the studio process is pretty familiar to us, but in just the first week Will has taught us things about ourselves that make it feel as if we’ve never even stepped foot in one. He has stripped our music down to the bolts and laid everything out on display and only now that we’re able to see how each part functions can we fix it, shine it and put it back together into a machine that runs better than it ever has. This album will be our 1974 Ford Falcon XB Interceptor. Get the fuck out of the way.”
If you don’t know that car reference, you are failing at life. Meanwhile, according to an official press release, “a special tour announcement” will be made soon. Some have been speculating that said announcement could be a spot on this year’s ‘Vans Warped Tour‘, given that guitarist Jordan Buckley designed much of the art for the annual festival this year. If that’s the case, you’ll know on March 22nd, when the lineup for the annual festival is revealed.
