Will Ferrell & Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith To Team Up For Benefit Show

Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and his actor/comedian doppelgänger Will Ferrell will again join forces, this time for the ‘Red Hot Benefit Comedy + Music Show & Quinceanera‘ event, which is to be held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA on April 29th. Along with a performance from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smith will be curating a number of musicians for the event, while Ferrell and his team at Funny Or Die will be overseeing the comedians to perform. Ferrell commented:

“I have only one great regret in life and it’s that I never actually celebrated my quinceanera. “I’d like to think it was just a simple oversight by my mother, but there has been a void inside me for many years. Growing up on the mean streets of Irvine, California, I have vivid memories of all my friends celebrating their quinceanera. Well, on April 29th at the Shrine Auditorium, with Red Hot Chili Peppers and a bunch of other really talented comedians and musicians by my side, we are going to right that wrong, and everyone is invited.”

Proceeds from the event will go to charity with more details available at As mentioned above, both men share a striking resemblance to each other, a fact they acknowledged back in 2014 when the two had an epic drum faceoff on ‘The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon‘.
