Watch Ghost Win Swedish Grammi Award, Perform “He Is” At Awards Ceremony

Ghost‘s accolades continue to pile up. Fresh off winning a Grammy for ‘Best Metal Performance’, the band have now taken home a Grammi—the Swedish equivalent of a Grammy award for their album “Meliora“, which won ‘Hard Rock/Metal Album Of The Year’. Footage of their win and a live performance of “He Is” at the ceremony can be found below. The band faced some stiff competition for the award as other nominees included:

Backyard Babies – “Four By Four
Graveyard – “Innocence & Decadence
Refused – “Freedom
Tribulation – “Children Of The Night

On a side note, there’s even mention of Quorthon during the televised ceremony, proving that the Swedes are so far ahead of U.S. awards shows when it comes to metal appreciation.

[MESSAGE FROM THE CLERGY]We wish to inform you that Papa and The Ghouls won a Swedish Grammis for Hardrock/Metal Album of the Year. They also performed "He Is" during the award show.
