These days Tool shows are an experience onto themselves with the stage production alone costing more than most bands will ever make in a career and each run serving as a significant portion of a scalper’s yearly income. As such, it’s interesting to see the below look back to the band’s early days recently shared by guitarist Adam Jones.
Sparse attendance, intimate stage, Maynard in the limelight with own hair and a pre-frame Rage Against The Machine‘s Tom Morello standing front row. Jones has been sharing some interesting shots from his personal archives via his Facebook lately. Among them is the below shot of him doing pre-production on ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day‘, back from when special effects was his day job before the band took off.
