Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett has been indulging freely in his various creative outlets in recent years and chief among them as of late is his guitar pedal company, KHDK Electronics. Rollingstone.com have a new feature with him that focuses largely on that, but of course there’s also a bit about the band’s long awaited follow-up to “Death Magnetic‘. Of their progress with it, he said that the group are “moving at a pace that allows us to live our lives and not have our lifestyles change too much.”
Though he confirmed that they have “more than enough songs,” things have yet to be finalized, as he added: “We’re slogging away, but you know, it’s metal. It’s heavy.” By the sounds of it, you can also expect to hear some of Hammett‘s pedal offerings on the album itself.
