Former Grade drummer Charles Moniz is headed to the Grammys this year for his contributions to the Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars track, “Uptown Funk“. That track is up for ‘Record Of The Year’. As it turns out, Moniz has also worked with Adele and more in recent times, having initially left Grade and joining up with Avril Lavgine, before settling in with Ronson and co.. You can find out more about his involvement over at ctvnews.ca. Grade themselves commented:
“Congratulations to our former drummer, Charles Moniz. After playing with Grade during our Headfirst Straight To Hell years, he played bass for Avril Lavigne, then Bruno Mars and Adele. Charles is now up for a Grammy! Cheers!!!”
