The Ghost Inside guitarist Zach Johnson has been documenting his ongoing recovery (and various frustrations with the healthcare industry) from the band’s fatal bus crash this past November via his Twitter. As well as the drivers of both their bus and the other vehicle involved in the crash perishing, Johnson and various members of the band and crew suffered serious injuries. While the exact condition of the other members remains private, Johnson himself continues to undergo various surgeries for injuries suffered to his lower extremities.
He recently shared the following picture of his following his latest round of surgery. There’s numerous ways to help the band get through these difficult times. First up, there’s this Gofundme campaign. The Ghost Inside‘s label Epitaph Records are also donating all proceeds from their album sales to the group as well. If you’re going to be in Anaheim in mid-February, you can also take in the ‘Friends Fest‘—proceeds from which will go towards the band.
