The Ghost Inside’s Singer, Guitarist & Drummer Among Those Critically Injured In Fatal Bus Crash (Updated)

More info has come to light on The Ghost Inside‘s fatal bus accident that took place around 9:am this morning outside of El Paso, TX. The accident saw the band’s bus involved in a head-on collision with an 18-wheeler. It claimed the lives of both the group’s bus driver, 31-year-old Gregory Hoke, and the driver of the semi, 64-year-old Steven Cunningham.

KFOX14 report that The Ghost Inside‘s drummer Andrew Tkaczyk, guitarist Zach Johnson and singer Jonathan Vigil all received serious injuries in the crash and were transported by helicopter to University Medical Center where they are/were listed in critical condition. Earlier today, Tkaczyk‘s brother Nick revealed that Andrew suffered head trauma as well as broken bones in his lower extremities and a shoulder injury in the crash.

Band bassist Jim Riley and touring guitarist Chris Davis are said to have suffered serious injuries, though they are listed as stable. Meanwhile, among the band’s crew who are listed in critical condition are Danny Lupio and Charles Billings. The rest of those injured in the wreck amongst the crew who are listed as stable include: Nathan Wilden, Armando CardonaTimothy Irons.

This Gofundme page has been launched to raise funds related to the accident. In addition to helping the band’s medical costs and loss of equipment, funds will also go towards the funeral expenses of Hoke, who leaves behind a child. A video report on the crash can be seen below. Earlier today the band issued the following statement:

“Thanks to everyone who reached out with concern today. The Ghost Inside was involved in a serious bus accident outside El Paso, TX this morning. All 5 band members + all members of the crew are alive and currently being treated for their injuries. Please keep them in your thoughts as well as their bus driver and those in the other vehicle who did not make it. Unfortunately, all US shows on the Locals Only Tour are cancelled. Refunds available at point of purchase. We will update you more when we can.”
