The Used will celebrate their 15th anniversary as a band in the spring of 2016. Set for an April 01st release, the band will drop a new live effort titled “Live And Acoustic At The Palace“, which captures the band’s special performance that took place at The Palace Theater in Los Angeles, CA last month. That set saw the band joined by a four-piece string quartet, a harpist, a pianist, a percussionist and a 3-piece gospel choir. Pre-orders for that are now available through theused.net. Frontman Bert McCracken commented:
“I think we really captured the night perfectly and listening back to the mixes it reminded me how music can allow us to be children once again and once you open yourself up to that emotion it’s like a virus, it’s contagious. Nearly every eye in the venue was weepy the night we played with the orchestra because these songs are so emotional and this recording is a truly special thing that I can’t wait for everyone to hear. It still gives me goose bumps.”

In celebration of the milestone the group will also embark on a headlining tour that will find them performing two of their albums (2002’s “The Used” & 2004’s “In Love And Death“) back-to-back each night. The first show in each city will see them run through “The Used“, with the second night focusing on “In Love And Death“. A digital copy of the album will be included with each ticket purchased for the tour.
