Veteran merch guy Nick Alexander has officially been confirmed among the dead following a terrorist attack during the Eagles Of Death Metal‘s show at Le Bataclan in Paris, France this past Friday, November 13th. That incident saw armed gunmen storm the venue during the band’s set and take the lives of at least 89 in attendance.
Alexander had toured with numerous bands in the past from Fall Out Boy and The Black Keys to Underoath and Trivium/ He was on the road with the Eagles Of Death Metal at the time of his passing. A Gofundme.com campaign to help fund his funeral expenses has been launched, and at the time of this posting has already raised $50,158 of its original $25,000 goal. Alexander‘s family commented:
“It is with huge sorrow that we can confirm that our beloved Nick lost his life at the Bataclan last night. Nick was not just our brother, son and uncle; he was everyone’s best friend – generous, funny and fiercely loyal. Nick died doing the job he loved and we take great comfort in knowing how much he was cherished by his friends around the world. Thank you for your thoughts and respect for our family at this difficult time. Peace and light.”
