O’Brother Release Free Download Of New Song “Bloodlines”

O’Brother have released a new song of theirs titled “Bloodlines” as a free download via The song will eventually surface upon the bands next full-length album, due in 2016. The group said along with the track:

“We meet again. It’s been a while since we’ve spoken but that will change. We promise. We have been busy in the studio the last few months working on our new full length that will be coming in early 2016. We are proud of what we’ve created and we just wanted to give everyone a taste before the year is over.

This song is “Bloodlines” and it’s one of our new favorites. We hope you like it too. If you like it, please help spread the word and share it with a friend in real life.

Bloodlines” started off as a skeleton with just Anton’s bass line. Three dissonant notes that we fuzzed up to carry the song, which before preproduction was just one repeating progression.

We had tracked everything for the record and had a little bit of time to spare in the studio. We’d heard Brad, our engineer, play this beautiful B3 organ from the 70s through a Leslie cab earlier that week. We’d never heard anything like it before. Tanner started playing the riff on it and Brad started setting up microphones. It was a battle trying to get the oscillator to work and have it fit in the song, but we didn’t give up…

Thank you, we’ll talk soon.”
