Korn’s Brian “Head” Welch Reveals Timeframe For Next Album Release

Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch sat down to chat with and shared some thoughts on the band’s forthcoming new album. At first Welch joked about what fans can expect:

“It’s gonna be the heaviest, the most melodic, the most successful record we’ve ever done… and it’s gonna sell millions. Lie.”

After getting the humor out of the way though, he offered:

“This is the truth, me and Munky stopped playing together for eight years when I was gone. We did the last record and we just clicked, and it was awesome. But to me, we’ve gotten used to each other again and it’s gonna be a more guitar-focused record. It’s gonna be a little bit more technical for ‘Korn‘ anyway. I just think we’re exactly we’re where we want to be as guitar duo brothers.”

Welch also went on to say that he expects the next album to arrive in the fall of 2016, allowing the group some time to record it and decompress before undergoing another touring cycle.
