Defeater‘s “Divination” music video has been made available to the public. Frontman Derek Archambault said of the song:
“‘Divination‘ picks up where we last left our protagonist in ‘Spared In Hell‘; struggling with his vices behind the pulpit but now finding salvation in love and a life outside his seminary. Memories of war and fallen friends haunted his days to lead him further into the depths of addiction, but the love that has found him shines a dim light of hope in his darkest nights.”
If that all sounds a bit confusing, note that their latest album “Abandoned” centers around: “the story of a lapsed Catholic priest, whose battles in Europe during the war drag him first toward faith and then his own poisonous faithlessness.”
