Soundgarden frontman/guitarist Chris Cornell recently said that a new album from the grunge legends was in the works. By the end of the week, that effort should be even further along, as the group have posted the following:

It will still be awhile before you get to hear the album however, as Cornell is about to embark on a touring cycle behind his new solo album “Higher Truth“, out September 18th.
