Ex-Neck Deep Guitarist Lloyd Roberts Goes To The Police To Clear His Name Of Recent Allegations

When initial accusations emerged that Neck Deep guitarist Lloyd Roberts (and other members of the band) had attempted to obtain sexually explicit images of a then 15-year-old girl, Roberts suggested those who believed the allegations should contact the police. The female in question also alleged that Roberts and others associated with the band had sent her sexually explicit images of themselves. Having since lost his role in the band as a result of the matter, Roberts has apparently taken his own advice. The Daily Post report that Roberts has sought out legal help to clear his name. He is quoted as telling the publication:

“Last weekend there were some very serious allegations made against myself and other band members of Neck Deep. I was horrified and sickened by these accusations. I have now instructed lawyers and contacted the police, in order to clear my name and to be proactive in confronting these allegations. I took the immediate decision to take a break from the band, which was a gut-wrenching decision as we have all worked so hard to get where we have and I do not want to let any of our fans down. I hope our fans understand.”
