Returning to rap music with her new album isn’t the only way My Ruin frontwoman Tairrie B. has been revisiting her past. She has told Laweekly.com that she is penning a memoir, which will in part focus on her time signed to Eazy-E‘s Ruthless Records imprint, Comptown Records, in the early 90’s. Most infamous of that time period is a beating she allegedly took at the hands of Dr. Dre. As the story goes, an intoxicated Dre is said to have punched her twice at a post-Grammys party in 1990 due to a feud she had with him (and an apparent diss track) at the time. She told the site of that:

“He punched me in the eye. And when I didn’t go down, he punched me in the mouth.”

Given her relationship with Eazy-E and her wanting to get her debut album, “The Power Of A Woman“, released instead of being blackballed, she declined to press charges. She plans touch upon that incident in the book as well as the rest of her varied career.
