This year saw the last-ever ‘Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival‘. Amid internal band conflict, cancelled stops, downgraded venues and general low attendance, the festival sadly didn’t get to end on a high note. While hopefully not always the case, the below apparent photo of The Devil Wears Prada opening the Main Stage at the July 21st Holmdel, NJ stop of the festival paints a grim picture:
The attendance was admittedly healthier for the headliners later that night. When asked by another Instagram user if the above photo was for real, the band who shared it, Too Far Lost, said at the time of the attendance at this particular stop:
“It’s real. It was taken yesterday at the NJ stop of Mayhem Fest during the 2nd song of TDWP’s set. Only 4,000 tickets were sold. PNC holds 17,000.”
