Original Story:

Bring Me The Horizon have revealed the title to their fifth studio album to be “That’s The Spirit“. The group kept the production in-house with keyboardist/vocalist Jordan Fish behind the boards and around 12 tracks laid down. Frontman Oli Sykes said of the title:

“It’s a celebration of depression, a way of making light of it. ‘That’s The Spirit’ – it’s quite a depressing phrase when you think about it – the sort of thing you only ever use when you know there’s no positive answer to the situation.”

Recording sessions for the effort have taken place at Black Rock Studios on the Greek island of Santorini. Speaking of the directional shift for the effort, Sykes added:

“…This time round, the challenge wasn’t just for people to be impressed that a screamer’s learned to sing. We had to come back with something that would be impressive for people who had no idea of the history of the band.”

The album is expected to be their first on their apparent new major label home, Columbia Records. For more on that form the band head over to NME.
