Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor took part in a Reddit AMA and had a few interesting things to say. He confirmed he has a part in ‘Officer Downe‘—the new film directed by his Slipknot bandmate, M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan. Some excerpts from the AMA can be found below:
On who he would like to work with:
“There are a lot of people I’d love to work with- Eminem included!- at the moment no one comes to mind, but I’d love to do a tune with Clutch. One of my favorite bands. And Rival Sons– love them!”
If Slipknot‘s new drummer and bassist are considered ‘permanent’ now:
“Not yet”
On Stone Sour‘s touring plans:
“Stone Sour will tour after we write/record the next album- sometime late next year. Germany will CERTAINLY be on the schedule!”
Regarding Stone Sour‘s plans for original material:
“SS is working on new material as we speak. And we can’t wait to see everyone’s reactions to the next batch of covers!”
On how often he pushes his fingers into his eyes:
“Every day- it’s the only thing that slowly stops the ache…”
Taylor is out on a solo tour for his newly released book, “You’re Making Me Hate You: A Cantankerous Look at the Common Misconception That Humans Have Any Common Sense Left“.
