David Vincent: “I Have Not Left Morbid Angel Nor Have I Been Asked To Do So”

The Morbid Angel lineup situation has taken another turn. Earlier today drummer Time Yeung exited the band, citing financial reasons. A statement made by the bands guitarist Trey Azagthoth was also made, announcing that former bassist/vocalist Steve Tucker was working on new music, it read:

“Hi everyone, I’m excited to announce that Steve Tucker and I are working together again for Morbid Angel and the next record will certainly be an amazingly sick World Beater!”

While one would have assumed that Morbid Angel vocalist/bassist David Vincent was out of the band as a result of his predecessor returning, Vincent says this is not the case, stating:

“I am aware of Trey Azagthoth’s announcement of a collaboration with Steve Tucker on new music. However, the inference that I have left Morbid Angel is incorrect. To be clear, I have not left Morbid Angel nor have I been asked to do so.”
