Cattle Decapitation have an August 07th release date set for their new album “The Anthropocene Extinction“. It would appear that the band were aware that few would know the meaning of ‘anthropocene’, so the following definition was provided in a press release:
“Anthropocene, a proposed term for the present geological epoch (from the time of the Industrial Revolution onwards), during which humanity has begun to have a significant impact on the environment.”

Cattle Decapitation recorded the effort with producer Dave Otero (Allegaeon, Cephalic Carnage) at Flatline Audio in Denver, CO. Some impressive guests have been lined up for the album, check the track listing and cover art done by Wes Benscoter for it below:
