Skeletonwitch Vocalist Chance Garnette Reportedly Ousted Due To Assaulting A Family Member

Some info has come to light on the apparent ousting of Skeletonwitch frontman Chance Garnette from the group. A reader did some digging and found these court records, which state that a 42-year-old Chance G. Garnette of Athens, Ohio was charged with “assault and battery on a family/household member” in a Worcester, MA court on October 20th, 2014, two days after he left the bands fall tour. He was apparently released on $500 bail on the charges.

It’s certainly worth nothing that the family/household member could have very well been Skeletonwitch guitarist Nate Garnette. Currently Skeletonwitch are touring with Andy Horn (Battlemaster, etc.) on vocals, having only listed “serious personal issues” as the reason for Chance‘s absence.
