Woman Facing Charges After Firing A Gun At TV Her Kids Were Watching Primus Video On (Updated)

Primus vocalist/bassist Les Claypool has playfully commented on the incident himself, offering the following:

“It doesn’t surprise me, I’ve been tempted to shoot at the TV when our videos come on as well. Especially that damn Beaver video”

Original Story:

A 40-year-old mother in Algonquin, IL is facing three counts of endangering the life of a child and possession of a firearm without an FOID after firing a Ruger .22 long rifle into a TV. The children, aged 15, 11, and 6, were watching an unspecified music video by Primus when their mother, identified as Jennifer Ullery walked into the room and fired ‘multiple rounds’ into their 50″ TV.

According to a report over at, Ullery has been involved in numerous child custody disputes and battery charges in the past. DCFS have placed the children in the care of another family member after the incident. She has thus far pled not guilty to the charges and is next due in court on April 20th.
